Climate Change News from the Weekend

Given tonight's viewing of "An Inconvenient Truth" at 7:00pm in E1540, we thought it appropriate to direct readers' attention to stories over the weekend regarding the release of the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's final report. As you might imagine, the prognosis is not good, and the report singles out the U.S. and China, urging both countries to play a far more constructive role in the global effort to address climate change.

Here are a few of weekend's offerings:

AP: UN Panel: Climate Change Accelerating

NYT: UN Chief Seeks More Climate Change Leadership

WSJ: Setting New Carbon Standards

NPR: Nobel-winning Climate Panel Calls for Urgent Action
